We live in spaces designed in far-off decades even though our society has changed considerably in recent decades. Houses should also adapt to these changes. The type of family has also changed, and families have less and less to do with the conventional idea of the nuclear family with a husband, a wife and two children. Foreseeing the future of houses is also to foresee the social and cultural future. How will we live in the future? What will our obligations be? And what objectives?
Le Communauté’s 15 m2 modules are individual.. More modules can be added as needed. The Neufert book’s and the Archigram (see The balde 52) group’s modular concepts have been investigated, along with Corbusier’s “Modulor” idea, in order to develop Le Communauté’s ideas in line with human size and movements.
Le Communauté is a proposal for an new way of life and new types of houses, it’s something of a utopia, maybe, but it’s also more lasting and easily obtained that current models.
