cuentos de la estrella legumbre
javier olivares. mediavaca
Tales and illustrations come together in Javier Olivares’ proposal. Always in black ink, we could say he is the founder of a new comic format. When we see his tales, published before in different Fanzines, in a book with a wonderful format, we still have a hope. Among mediocre works, the one who risks is sometimes the one who gets the success that he deserves.
atondu
ane albisu iriarte. elkar
In this book with a precious and big format, the identity and development of the Basque traditional clothes are studied. The texts are the result of a serious research and the pictures make clear that the Basque clothing is not only the “poxpolin” or the farmer clothing. As we can see by the title, the importance of the book is not the clothes, but the act of getting dressed.
nanga
willy uribe. editorial lector
We all know Willy Uribe’s pictures and articles in surf magazines. Last year, he published an interesting novel: “Nanga”. He tells the story of the Basque Lope Urrutia: he is lost in the wilds and waves of an Indonesian isle until the past comes to him and he is forced to escape. We told the writer that the ending was to fast and that we preferred that he kept on being on the wave. He answered that in order to get out of a wave and not get wiped out, one has to be fast.

Friends in Madrid have published the 25th issue of Ladinamo magazine. People in Ladinamo are “comanches” in the lands governed by right wing politicians and catholics. Ladinamo is the reserve of “comanches”. They demonstrate that there is another way of life and the issues of the magazine are their smoke signs. Don’t miss Lolito Cohete’s adventures in the land of the Soviets in their last issue.
