Flash technology appears in many film festivals: Flashforward, Animamundi, Offf, and so on. But these competitions are not really on line competitions, or at least not in a strict sense. Instead, Nontzeflash, is fun on-line and off-line. The works are put on the web as they come in.
On the other hand, in the Bilbao Festival of Fantasy Cinema, the best animations will be shown on May 8th, at the Ideales movie-theater. There will be eighty-four films on show and the competition for tittlewriting will end in a month and a half. Films are coming from all over the place: Catalonia, Spain, Peru, Argentina, Italy, Australia, Holland, Colombia, Bolivia, Canada, USA, Brazil, Russia, England, France, Scotland, Serbia, Uruguay and the Basque Country. Although most works will be in cartoon-format, there are some that use photographic frames as a base; others use drawings and graphics while others use realistic pictures. In Nontzeflash you can find funny animations, poignant views, surrealistic ponderings and also raw denunciation.
