rimmel

koldo izagirre. susa

Even though who Rimmel is written for and what caused Koldo Izagirre to write it has been widely documented in the press and promo releases, we are to going to mention it here. It’s something each reader should discover for themselves as they read this beautiful collection of poetry. Written from a personal perspective as it is, from the moment it is published, poetry becomes the property of everybody. Exactly the way Neruda’s postman used the Chilean’s poetry to further his own aims. In Rimmel we have read the following:
We no longer walk hand in hand down the street / the break that had to come has come / Another hand will fold around yours.
Now it’s in your hands.

cyrano

Every now and again somebody gives you a present of a book. Sometimes, you find one of these books enthralling. That’s exactly what happens in this remake book of Cyrano. The text, directed at children, gets straight to the point, albeit in a playful manner. But the best thing about this book is the beautiful revealing drawings. Another gem for your personal library.

kink magazine

pacoymanolo

Paco and Manolo are two photographers form Barcelona. They are the creative minds behind several different projects and publications. When they take the photographs for this self-financed production, the camera goes kink instead of click. Kink. When a white-skinned youth caresses his penis. Kink. When a naked body appears amongst the trees in a wood. Kink. When the skinof a man lying on the cold tiled floor goes goosepimply. Kink Kink. Kink.

rocky: la venganza

martin kellerman. la cúpula

Martin is 25 years old. The porno magazine where he worked as a comic strip artist has just fired him. His girlfriend caught him at it with another and if that weren’t enough, she’s kicked him out and he’s had to go and live with his brother. In order to overcome these personal experiences, Martin starts drawing himself in a comic strip. Read in a row, these separate stories read as a graphic novel on the life of this Swede. His honesty is something to be grateful for. Thanks to this honesty, on more than one occasion we’ll see ourselves reflected in the protagonist’s cynical, sexist, perverse and selfish behaviour.
