the atlas of experience    The Atlas of Experience follows the conventions of cartography, but leads the traveller through ideas, feelings and experiences. It ́s the map of the most intriguing and important journey: the journey though life. The idea for the Atlas of Experience first came from two dutch cartographers, Jean Klare and Louise van Swaaij, who published a simple version of it for their clients in 1997. The idea intrigued the publisher Bas Rompa and he persuaded the cartographers to develope a whole world of maps reflecting the human life experience and emotions. The result was a book full of experience maps that sold 100.000 copies in the first nine months.
