NORAH JONES
Feels like home Blue Note Records
Young American Nora Jones has released her third work. Shes one of those musicians that are missed: every new work she releases takes her level even higher. Jazz, folk, blues or country are mixed in a traditional way as a matter of fact. This is a disc that will enthrall us from beginning to end.
THE DEVASTATIONS
The Devastations Munster Records 2004
Three musicians make up this band that comes from Melbourne. The Birthday Party ex-guitar player Rowland S. Howard and Einstrzende Neubauten bands Alexander Hacke have offered their support to these cabaret rock drenched whalers. In fact, these songs displayed on this first album shear all the way in. Death to sugary romances!
MARLANGO
Marlango Subterfuge 2004
Leonor Watling actor shows up now as a singer. Enjoy the ride had a great success in last years last stretch presentation and now we have the long play. Worth mentioning the smart design of the whole from the first to the last song. A job done with remarkable taste and ready to be enjoyed.
ZERO 7
When it falls Ultimate Dilema / DRO East West 2004
British musicians Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker band takes the name from a whorehouse in Honduras. Nevertheless, it is difficult to listen to those songs in such an Eden. The clear identity shown in the 2001 released Simple things is again shown in the new disc: an elegant pop and electronic mix. The more you listen to it, the more you will find out unforeseen aspects in these songs.
