8 years before Amstrong set foot on the moon, Enos, a chimpanzee was sent into space.
Human being’s (homo sapiens) and chimpanzee’s (pan troglodytes) genome is 99% the same.
Within the spacecraft, due to electronic problems, Enos received the opposite directions to what he had been trained in the previous 10 months.
He got an electric discharge whenever he did something right, instead of getting them for doing things wrong.
Contrary to what the researchers at NASA believed, he decided to keep on doing things right, and on his way back to Earth, he received a lot of electric discharges.
Enos came back to Earth, not like Laika, the dog. Mecano didn’t dedicate any song to him, as they did with Laika.
People who tortured him, welcomed him as a hero.
After walking on space, he spent the rest of his days in a cage.
