Sony claims it has sold 50.000.000 PS2 consoles worldwide. 21 million in the States, 16 million in Europe and 12 million in Japan. Don't forget that these things habe chips in them capable of guiding missiles.
Maybe that wwas why million of Sergeant-Major daddies sanpped up the console for their brats.
Microsoft says ti has shifted 8 million units of its Xbox in the litle over a year it has been on the market.
POKEMON AND THE STOCK MARKET
The two new recently released Pokemon games for Game boy Advance have sold two million copies in Japan. These sales have boosted Nintendo on the Japanese Stock Exchange. Seems likely that the new Pokemon will have plenty of media and economic pull when it hits Europe and the States.
A NEW SONY POCKET CONSOLE?
According to a report in an American magazine, Sony coul be on the verge of releasing a new pocket-sized console. It's Nintendo's market at the moment, so a little competition would benefit us all. Let's hope there's an improvement in quality an price. Sony have neither denied nor confirmed the news.
